As a shepherd to God’s people, our vision for the First Baptist Church Denbigh is rooted in faith, hope, and love. We strive to create a sanctuary where individuals and families in our community can find holistic healing for their spiritual, emotional and mental well-being.

Guided by the principles of compassion and service, First Baptist Church Denbigh-Community Wellness Center (FBCD-CWC) will serve as a beacon of hope and restoration, offering accessible and culturally sensitive mental health care to all, regardless of their background or circumstances.

individuals and families in our community. Rooted in God’s love and guided by the principles of hope and restoration, we aim to break the stigma surrounding mental health while offering accessible, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based care, accessible resources,
FBCD Counseling Program
The Community Wellness Center’s approach to addressing client needs integrates spiritual, Christian, ethical and religious values. It is the First Baptist Church Denbigh’s
Community Wellness Center’s (FBCD-CWC) belief that the infusion of these elements into the counseling process is essential for the overall development of those that will be
served.
Another goal of the FBCD-CWC includes providing Christian-based psychological and emotional support, as well as social services to clients, who may or may not be
members of the First Baptist Church Denbigh congregation but who are in need of professional guidance in dealing with issues that may prevent effective and responsible conduct
of their daily lives.

The essential clientele for the FBCD-CWC are individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan (i.e., children, adolescents, adults, and older adults).
Furthermore, the FBCD-CWC will be targeted to members of the FBCD congregation, to other church congregations, to members of Hampton Roads and throughout
Virginia.

Our services will include individual counseling, marriage and family therapy, couples counseling, and group counseling, psycho-educational workshops, and advocacy both
in person and virtually.
